We finally got Cameron enrolled on EFMP after 45 long days. He was placed in category 5 which is the highest due to his heart disease. Which means we are homesteaded. That means for the remainder of Jamie's contract they cannot move us from where we are stationed and also there will be no overseas assignments. His teacher is telling him for the exact program he is in there is a huge chance we will be stationed at washington state, norfolk virginia, or san diego, ca. Right now Jamie and I are like the Washington state choice the best but who knows with the navy.

So today was day one of third grade. So far so good as for Isaac is concerned but for mommy concerned they had the wrong teacher written on his id tag. He has to go into the school by himself I guess he went to the wrong class told it was the wrong one got lost then taken to the office and put in the correct class. What is up with that? That bothers me. Other then that he is happy to be back to school once again =)

Have you bought all your uniforms?

The Navy is a little more than four months away from its fleet-wide switch-over to the blue-and-gray Navy working uniform.
By Jan. 1, every officer and sailor will be required to have four sets of the NWU, along with all the accessories. Sailors E-6 and below must also have the black-and-khaki Navy service uniform. Sailors were given super-sized uniform allowances in 2008 and 2009 to cover the costs of the new items.
So have you bought everything, or did you buy one or two sets with plans to buy the rest later? Did you spend your uniform allowance on clothing or put it toward something else? How are your uniforms holding up so far?
O.k. first off let me say they were not given a SUPER-SIZED allowance.....The navy is like a fashion show they are always changing the uniform to something new. How is everyone supposed to keep up and keep buying these? My husband only has two at the moment but to buy two more in my opinion is crazy. Then they are also trying to change the nwu's to the desert tan like the marine's have currently. They cant really think by switching the uniform's up all the time make's things better. If they want to make clothes become a designer but don't keep making these sailors jump through these hoops over uniforms.
For those of you that don't know this is the current NWU which means navy working uniform....This is a picture I found off of photobucket.com
So yesterday Jamie took us to Ross theater on the base to see this movie. We had an o.k. experience. Don't get me wrong paying 2 bucks a ticket is what I like but, there were way too many people there which = long lines, then the credit card machines went down and everyone bolted out the door to the atm, and last but not least there were a lot of innuendos which we didn't think was appropriate for small children. I must say I was disappointed in the movie :(

Well Cameron had his yearly cardiology appointment this week. They did an ekg on him as well as an echo. Almost all the doctors just bragged at how he was such a good child. I definitely felt like a proud mommy. His appointments are at the children's hospital in Milwaukee, WI which is almost 40 miles from where we live. I am very happy with his doctor. Jamie and I met his doctor when Cameron was rushed by ambulance to that hospital and I said I don't mind traveling the distance I did that in FL from palm coast to Orlando. The echo showed that both valves are still leaking blood one to the lung and one to the heart. They want to hold off on fixing that for as long as possible because it is better to have a leaky heart then to have one too tight. Which that was straight from the camel's mouth. Other then that everything is still in place and working the way it should. They sent Cameron home with a monitor to wear 24 hours which was really fun at bed time... (not). They wanted to monitor if he gives off too many extra heart beats so now I am waiting for the results. Anyways if you could keep Cameron in your thoughts that would be great! Thanks!
